A quiet day in San Cristobal was what was on the cards for today. A rest from the tiring touring for a day, and time to take stock of what needed to be done to enjoy the rest of the time here. I had wanted to spend a couple of nights in the Lacandona jungle, but that was proving difficult to organise from San Cristobal and time was running out. I decided that the next day I would head back to Palenque and stay in the township there. At least I might get a trip to the other exciting Mayan ruins at Bonampak and Yaxchilan. The photos below I took on my walk to the bus station where I needed to reserve a place on the bus to Palenque for the next day.
